About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Research Data Analyst to join our team at the University of Toronto's Dalla Lana School of Public Health. As a key member of our research project, you will be responsible for performing statistical analyses of complex data sets and writing program scripts within a Statistics Canada Research Data Centre.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare draft statistical reports and summaries from data collected
  • Analyze and write program scripts to extract, reformat, and analyze data
  • Analyze datasets
  • Implement and execute qualitative and/or quantitative research methods
  • Provide detailed information on data analysis findings to stakeholders
  • Format manuscripts according to publication guidelines
  • Foster stakeholder engagement and maintain relationships with project partners
  • Handle sensitive and/or confidential information
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or acceptable combination of equivalent experience
  • Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience analyzing datasets and preparing statistical reports and summaries
  • Demonstrated experience executing quantitative research methods
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing and writing program scripts in SAS or R
  • Strong experience maintaining relationships with stakeholders and project partners
  • Strong communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to meet conflicting priorities and balance multiple projects
  • Demonstrates initiative and possesses a strong commitment to research work
  • Strong commitment to accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and adherence to relevant policies and procedures
