Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at Southbridge Care Homes. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional care to our residents while following established protocols and physician orders.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality resident care while adhering to established standards and protocols.
- Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions of residents, and take appropriate action when necessary.
- Organize and direct care-related functions and activities to ensure optimal resident outcomes.
- Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff to ensure seamless care delivery.
- Provide training and professional development opportunities to new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care as needed.
Qualifications
- Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
- A passion for caring for seniors and a serving heart.
- Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
- Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks in order of urgency.
- Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
- Developed creative problem-solving skills to address complex care situations.
