Mining Infrastructure Construction Lead

We are in search of a driven Underground Construction Manager to oversee underground mining initiatives within our Prairie Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage construction activities to fulfill client and regulatory standards
  • Create comprehensive construction strategies to ensure timely project delivery
  • Serve as the technical authority for construction projects and assist in cost estimation
  • Continuously assess work requirements, schedules, and financial reports to adhere to project timelines and budgets
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and policies
  • Oversee all resource needs including personnel, equipment, and materials
  • Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Supervise team members, address development needs, and manage project mobilization
  • Identify avenues for process enhancements and cost-saving measures
  • Administer contractual agreements and claims to minimize project risks

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience in underground and surface construction as a Construction or Operations Manager
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strong safety culture
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methodologies and prior experience in mine construction
  • Experience in civil, mechanical, electrical, and structural construction
  • Capability to promote safe work practices in high-pressure situations
  • Expertise in project management, contracts, and project execution
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills

This role requires regular travel to various project sites.
