Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mine Engineer, Senior to join our team at the Seabee Gold Operation in Saskatchewan, Canada. As a key member of our Technical Services team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing best practices in mining engineering processes, procedures, and practices to support the success of our departmental targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement infrastructure projects, feasibility studies, and equipment procurement plans to support the mine's growth and development.
  2. Design and automate reports, analyze data, and provide technical documentation to support decision-making.
  3. Support the mine operation with ice road procurement and resupply through accurate forecasting of required supplies.
  4. Implement Deswik.OPs to create seamless processes connecting mid-range plans with short-range plans.
  5. Collaborate with business partners to calculate mineable reserves.
  6. Engage with business partners across the organization to identify and implement improvement and operational excellence opportunities.
  7. Maintain a high standard of quality in all work.
  8. Assist in the preparation of medium and long-range mine plans.
  9. Adhere to programs, systems, and procedures in mine design that meet industry standards.
  10. Interact with the Technical Services team to ensure team focus.
  11. Create a strong safety culture through engagement and empowering others.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  1. A Certificate or Diploma of Technology in Mining with fifteen (15) years underground mining-related experience or a degree in Mine Engineering or a related field with ten (10) years' underground mining-related experience.
  2. Experience with Deswik and Deswik.OPs would be considered an asset, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Power Query, and PowerBi.

Working Conditions

This position has a schedule of 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at our remote camp, with pick-up points in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, and La Ronge.
