Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiological Technologist to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital in Surrey, B.C. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, observing safe radiation protection practices, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic and medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRI scans, in accordance with established standards and protocols.
  • Observe safe radiation protection practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to radiation safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the preparation and cleaning of examination rooms and equipment.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, including explaining procedures and providing instructions.
  • Operate radiographic and computerized imaging equipment, including processing radiographs and archiving acquired data.
  • Monitor patient care and safety, including ensuring procedures adhere to department standards and policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement and risk management procedures and processes.
  • Clean and test equipment for status of imaging, viewing, processing, and image recording.
  • Perform a variety of clerical duties, including data entry and patient demographics.

Requirements

  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT).
  • Experience in diagnostic radiography and medical imaging.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
