About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land and Resource Specialist to join our dynamic team at the BC Public Service Agency. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in reducing wildfire risk and protecting communities across the province.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects and lead components of major initiatives, ensuring timely and effective delivery of results.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level partners and stakeholders, fostering collaboration and cooperation to achieve shared goals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on wildfire management practices, conflict resolution, and dispute resolution principles and practices.
  • Communicate effectively with various audiences, including the public, through verbal and written reports, presentations, and briefing materials.
Requirements
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a fully licensed Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC).
  • Technical Diploma in a natural resource management-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Significant experience managing multiple projects, leading teams, and developing relationships with senior-level partners and stakeholders.
  • Experience with budget management, financial administration, and contracts administration.
  • Knowledge of conflict and dispute resolution principles and practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising staff and managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of wildfire management practices and experience working in a natural resource discipline.
