Customer Service Representative

BMO is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Personal Banker. As a Personal Banker, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our customers and prospects, identifying their financial needs, and providing advice and guidance on financial solutions that meet their needs.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to customers and prospects, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct needs assessments to identify customers' financial needs and provide recommendations on financial solutions that meet those needs.
- Financial Solutions: Offer customers a range of financial solutions, including everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, and small business solutions.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with customers to grow BMO's business, generate appointments, and build new relationships within the community.
- Risk Management: Apply the risk management framework to the portfolio to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio.
- Credit Recommendations: Make credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and with the Bank's policies and procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Act as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team, working together to achieve business objectives.
- Education: Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Registration: Registration to sell investment products completed, as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
- Lending Qualifications: Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
- Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions, retail investments and lending products, and experience in financial services.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and connections with customers.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Aptitude for listening, solving problems, and responding flexibly and creatively to new challenges.
