About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice President, Fund Accounting to join our team. As a key member of our Private Equity team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of fund accountants, ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of financial statements and other client deliverables.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of fund accountants, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services to clients.
  • Oversee the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of client deliverables, including investor statements and reporting.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including Investor Relations, Waterfall, Tax, and Financial Reporting, to ensure seamless delivery of services to clients.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of our fund accounting services.
  • Provide technical accounting and industry knowledge to clients, and act as a liaison with external parties.
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring process, and onboard new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the team.
  • Evaluate team performance, provide timely feedback, and conduct performance reviews to ensure the continued growth and development of our team members.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in fund accounting, with a strong background in private equity and alternative investments.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading and managing a team of fund accountants.
  • Strong technical accounting and industry knowledge, with the ability to provide technical guidance and support to clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and external parties.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, and experienced user of the FIS Investran PE accounting platform.
