About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team at Pearson Metal Inc. as a key member of our metal fabrication department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain manual or semi-automatic welding equipment, ensuring high-quality welds and efficient production processes.
  • Utilize manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to precision-cut metal components.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to produce complex metal parts.
  • Set up and operate brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
Welding Techniques
  • Oxy-acetylene welding (OAW) for high-temperature applications.
  • Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) for heavy-duty welding tasks.
  • Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) (TIG) for precision welding and high-quality finishes.
  • Gas metal arc welding (GMAW) for high-speed welding applications.
  • Flux core arc welding (FCAW) for welding in challenging environments.
  • Plasma arc welding (PAW) for precision cutting and welding.
  • Submerged arc welding (SAW) for high-quality welds in heavy-duty applications.
Work Environment

  • Hours: 40 hours per week, with regular working hours and minimal overtime required.
