Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and replacements of equipment, machinery, and facilities to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Equipment Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with plant equipment, machinery, and systems to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory levels of spare parts, supplies, and equipment to ensure timely replacements and minimize stockouts.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, sanitation, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Sanitation and Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health and safety regulations, including HACCP, WHIMS, and other regulatory requirements.

Working Conditions:

  • Work Environment: The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with exposure to wet or damp floors, noise levels below 85 decibels, and greasy equipment/tools.
  • Temperature Ranges: The candidate will be required to work in temperature ranges from 4°C to -18°C.
  • Flexibility: Occasional requirement to perform duties and responsibilities outside regular hours.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; college or trade school education preferred.
  • Certifications: Food handling certification and pallet moving equipment certification an asset.
  • License: Valid driver's license with Z endorsement required.
