About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Airport Operations Officer to join our team at Bombardier. As a key member of our Flight Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with multiple agencies to access the airport for flights, ground runs, and other access requirements.
  • Coordinate flying schedules and airport access requirements with pre-flight teams.
  • Assist pre-flight teams to ensure the ramp area is clear of Foreign Object Debris (FOD) and comply with safety measures.
  • Provide continuous briefings to pilots on weather conditions, flight restrictions, new procedures, and regulations.
  • Use various communication tools, including radios and digital equipment, for local and global communications.
  • Flight planning and coordination of airspace for production flight purposes.
  • Maintenance and regular input of electronic logs and other Flight Operations databases.
Long Description
  • Monitor the ramp area and airport surfaces to ensure ground personnel operate aircraft in compliance with company and government regulations.
  • Report ramp outages and ensure prompt resolution.
  • Supervise, monitor, and train new Flight Ops personnel to ensure facility standards are met prior to receiving checkout.
  • Prepare written and oral reports for the progress evaluation and debriefing of trainees and their supervisors.
  • Be on call during non-regular hours and weekends (24/7) and serve as the point of contact for all company flying operations.
  • Act as the ERP point of contact for flying ops and serve as the Chief, Airport Operations delegate when on duty.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief, Airport Operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in a Flight Operations Dispatch environment.
  • Diploma in Aviation Management or relevant equivalent experience.
  • Restricted Radio Operators License.
  • Computer skills necessary to operate MS Suite and navigate web-based applications.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
