Your Role and Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular flight operations as a Flight Test Engineer on production aircraft.
  • Oversee test planning, readiness, and safety protocols for both production and experimental aircraft.
  • Work under the guidance of the Flight Operations Manager and Chief Pilot.
  • Collaborate with the Flight Test Engineering Team to provide critical operational information for testing, including limitations and special instructions.
  • Review and approve Non-Conformity Reports and special instructions.
  • Coordinate with various engineering teams regarding test planning, status updates, and results.
  • Prepare test documentation and reports in line with Bombardier Flight Test Center standards.
  • Ensure appropriate aircraft configuration for testing, including components and instrumentation.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Lead reviews and briefings on test readiness, safety of flight, and hazard analysis.
  • Draft Test Cards and Plans based on Test Definition Sheets.
  • Adhere to company, FAA, and Transport Canada regulations during testing.
  • Collaborate closely with the Bombardier Flight Test Center and other completion centers.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications for Success

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (P. Eng.).
  • Over ten years of experience in Aerospace Engineering, specifically in Flight Test Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Engineering/Aviation or a graduate of a Test Pilot School.
  • Familiarity with Civil/Commercial aircraft certification Part 25 requirements.
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and the ability to interpret schematics.
  • Possession of a Private or Commercial Pilot's License.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Access).
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to travel to remote locations for testing, with a valid passport.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
