About the Role:

Canadian Blood Services is seeking a Temporary Full-Time Human Resources Specialist to join our vibrant Talent Programs team. In this capacity, you will provide essential guidance and support to staff regarding HR policies, programs, benefits, pension plans, and pay-related provisions across various collective agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary contact for general inquiries, offering information on HR policies, programs, and procedures.
  • Utilize strong analytical skills to manage complex procedural rules related to employee transitions, including new hires, internal transfers, and terminations.
  • Oversee pay-related adjustments in accordance with collective agreement stipulations.
  • Administer pension and benefits programs in line with established criteria.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while advising management on HR policies and procedures.
  • Prepare various reports as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Human Resources or HRIS support, preferably with SAP.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in employee support for pay inquiries and benefits administration.
  • Familiarity with unionized environments is advantageous.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
