Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Manager Business Services to join our team at the City of Toronto. This is a senior-level position that requires a strong background in business operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Provide strategic advice and guidance to senior management on business transformation initiatives and projects.
    • Lead and manage a team of staff to achieve business objectives and deliver results.
    • Develop and implement effective leadership and management strategies to drive business excellence.
  • Business Operations
    • Develop and implement business operations strategies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Manage and coordinate the development and implementation of business plans and projects.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on business operations and project management.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including senior management, staff, and external partners.
    • Develop and implement effective stakeholder engagement strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on stakeholder engagement and communication.
  • Project Management
    • Develop and implement project management strategies to achieve business objectives.
    • Manage and coordinate project teams to deliver results.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on project management and delivery.
  • Performance Management
    • Develop and implement performance management strategies to drive business excellence.
    • Manage and coordinate performance management processes to achieve business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on performance management and development.
  • Continuous Improvement
    • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies to drive business excellence.
    • Manage and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives to achieve business objectives.
    • Provide guidance and support to staff on continuous improvement and innovation.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Post-secondary education in a related field, combined with relevant management experience.
      • Proven track record of success in business operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
    • Skills and Abilities
      • Strong leadership and management skills.
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.
      • Proven project management skills.
      • Ability to develop and implement effective business operations strategies.
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Knowledge and Experience
      • Knowledge of business operations, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
      • Experience working in a municipal or public sector environment.
      • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
