Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Management: Develop and manage the school's budget, ensuring financial goals are met and resources are allocated effectively.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage all non-academic operations, including facilities, IT, maintenance, security, insurance, and employee benefits.
  • Human Resources: Collaborate on annual updates for faculty and staff handbooks, manage employee benefits, payroll, health insurance, and retirement plans cost-effectively.
  • Grant Management: Identify and manage grant opportunities, collaborate with accountants and attorneys, and ensure compliance with grant and donor restrictions.
  • Business Development: Support fundraising activities, identify and arrange the purchase or lease of supplies, services, and equipment, and manage financial operations including budgets, tax returns, bank accounts, investments, income, expenses, and financial reporting.
Requirements
  • 5+ years in small business, financial, or accounting management, or experience with non-profit organizations and educational institutions.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Effective people management skills.
  • Ability to quickly analyze issues and learn new skills.
  • Operational experience with financial software and systems (preferably Paylocity and QuickBooks), proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Experience in grant writing and funding applications.
