The Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre, situated on the Hamilton escarpment, is renowned for its comprehensive acute and tertiary care services, including a community emergency department, general medical services, intensive care, and a robust surgical program, as well as the Regional Cancer Program.

The CT Department at Juravinski Hospital plays a pivotal role in providing essential imaging services for the swift diagnosis and management of oncology, orthopedic, and emergency department patients. This department is integral to supporting multidisciplinary care teams by delivering high-resolution imaging that informs urgent and complex treatment decisions.

Position Overview

As a vital member of our Multidisciplinary Health Care team, you will coordinate, perform, and assess Diagnostic Services examinations across various modalities. You will guide and mentor clinical and technical associates and students within a teaching and research-focused environment, while delivering patient care aligned with our core values of respect, compassion, innovation, and accountability. You may also rotate through different modalities and locations based on qualifications and departmental needs.

Our Diagnostic Services team at HHS caters to a diverse population of adult and pediatric patients, providing round-the-clock services in multiple areas, including X-Ray, CT Scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET, Ultrasound, and Interventional Radiology.

Work Schedule

Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, with standby as required.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Radiological Technology program.
  • Current registration in good standing with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Professional designation as a Registered Medical Radiology Technologist (MRT).
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
  • Experience in a similar hospital setting, particularly with CT, is preferred.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and the capacity to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Evidence of ongoing education and professional development.
  • Membership in CAMRT/OAMRT is preferred.
