The Business Development Manager is a key role within the Brock Group, responsible for driving regional sales growth and pursuing business development opportunities through strategic networking, direct sales, and market research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute regional sales strategies to achieve profitable growth and meet business objectives.
- Pursue and acquire new business opportunities, while maintaining and developing existing relationships within assigned regions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, communicate effectively with operations teams and corporate offices, and track progress and activity.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and events, publications, and announcements to identify opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials, and make informed recommendations.
- Engage in sales and marketing activities to drive growth and development of Brock Canada business across Canada.
- Closing new business deals by coordinating requirements, developing and negotiating contracts, and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary education (diploma or degree) preferred.
- Industry experience is a significant advantage.
- Strong understanding of the scaffold, insulation, and fireproofing business, and its competitive environment.
- Considerable experience in a sales-related position, with a consistent track record of growing company sales and targets.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a high level of professionalism and a motivation for sales while respecting diversity of opinions and an open, clear, and succinct communication style.
- Highly effective organizational and time management skills in handling multiple priorities, performing a variety of tasks, and meeting required deadlines.
- Extensive understanding of regional marketplace, clients, and competitors.
