**Job Summary**

GFL Environmental is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our transportation, hydraulic, and solid waste collection and processing equipment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Provide direct supervision to all drivers, ensuring ongoing training requirements, discipline, and procedural implementation.
  • Work closely with the Operations Manager and HR Manager to maintain adequate staffing levels, including participating in interviews and pre-employment road tests.
  • Conduct ongoing observational behavior assessments and driver training to identify performance issues and create action plans to correct them.
  • Track and document ongoing service and driver issues, including any discipline required.
  • Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relations to attain all necessary information regarding any issues.
  • Organize and approve driver vacation requests.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all workers, reporting any related issues immediately to the Operations Manager.
  • Deliver company policy, systems, and industry-related training to all drivers as needed.
  • Perform accident investigations when company vehicles are involved in traffic accidents.

**Requirements:**

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • Preference given to candidates with experience working in residential or commercial collection, civil construction, transportation, and/or operations
  • General understanding of WHMIS and the Highway Traffic Act
  • Proficiency in performing pre- and post-trip inspections, as well as accident investigations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute against tight timelines
  • Intermediate database, spreadsheet, and word processing skills within a Microsoft environment
  • Willingness to work flexible hours
