About the Role

The Highlander Inn is seeking a highly organized and experienced Motel Managing Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of our motel's day-to-day activities, attending to resident and check-in guests' inquiries in a professional manner, and coordinating the work of clerks and other employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, assign, and review the work of clerks and other employees
  • Establish work schedules and procedures and coordinate activities with other departments
  • Hire and train staff in job duties, safety procedures, and motel policies
  • Assist guests with special needs
  • Ensure smooth operation of computer systems, equipment, and machinery, and arrange for maintenance and repair work when required
  • Requisition materials and supplies
  • Resolve work-related issues and prepare and submit progress reports

Requirements

  • 6 months to 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Superior organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Mature attitude, professional, and strong work ethic
  • Dependability and the ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects with multiple individuals
  • Ability to work under pressure, stress, and tight deadlines at times
