About the Role

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly skilled District Sales Leader to join our team in Northern Alberta. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and driving sales growth in the region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Territory Managers and Agronomists to achieve sales targets and goals.
  • Develop and implement area strategic and tactical plans to align with company objectives.
  • Provide input into sales strategies and programs, and execute plans to achieve results.
  • Lead and manage sales staff to achieve sales metrics and goals.
  • Responsible for creating a business plan for the area, executing the plan, and tracking operational indexes such as revenue, margin, market share, penetration, concentration, retention, and cross-sell of product lines.
  • Conduct analysis of sales metrics, interpret data, and apply recommendations to improve sales performance.
  • Execute a plan to achieve sales metrics through alignment of resources.
  • Facilitate and support demand creation by utilizing competitive intelligence data and applying financial models.
  • Stay informed of competitive products, practices, and strategies.
  • Responsible for safety and core values.
  • Continuously develop professionally by staying current with new technologies, management innovations, sales management, and sales force motivation.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Ten years of Ag sales experience, including management and development of employees and teams.
  • Knowledge or training in a specialized, technical, or professional discipline such as Agronomy, Plant Science, Marketing, agri-business, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of selling methodology, tools, and techniques.
