Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Pastry Lead to join our culinary team at Autograph Collection/Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading the pastry team and ensuring the highest quality of food products.
Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and delegate work to pastry team members, ensuring a smooth and efficient operation.
- Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop and implement new pastry menu items, ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Food Safety and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Inventory Management: Manage pastry inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies, to ensure optimal stock levels.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that all guests receive a high-quality dining experience.
- Special Events: Assist in the planning and execution of special events, such as weddings and banquets, requiring pastry services.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all pastry products meet our high standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a pastry chef or lead in a high-volume kitchen.
- Proven track record of leading a team and achieving high-quality results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
