Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pastry Lead to join our culinary team at Autograph Collection/Courtyard by Marriott Hotel. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for leading the pastry department and ensuring the highest quality of food products.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Cook and prepare a variety of food items, including pastries, desserts, and other sweet and savory dishes, according to standardized recipes and procedures.
  • Assist in the supervision and training of pastry staff, ensuring that all team members are equipped to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of ingredients and supplies, ensuring that the pastry department is well-stocked and prepared for service.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and high-quality food products.
  • Participate in special events and functions, such as weddings and banquets, to provide exceptional service and culinary expertise.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or other management staff.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a pastry kitchen, preferably in a high-volume hotel or restaurant environment.
  • Proven track record of leadership and team management.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of pastry preparation and presentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
