About the Company:

Moving2Canada is a global public company with operations in over a dozen countries. We are a complex and interesting technology company seeking an experienced FP&A professional to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Global FP&A team, specifically for our product team. The FP&A function at Moving2Canada has two teams - one on the corporate side and one on the product side. This role is for the product team, providing FP&A on hardware products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Traditional FP&A: analysis of actuals vs forecasts, variance analysis on revenues, costs, and gross margins, and tracking budgets to plans.
  • Strategic, ad hoc FP&A: business partnership on initiatives such as new product launch, product discontinuation or changes, product performance analysis, revenue projections, business cases, etc.
  • Presenting FP&A findings and business recommendations to stakeholders, including the FP&A team and non-finance decision makers in product management and sales.
  • Participating in process improvements projects such as system optimization and workforce planning.

Requirements:

  • At least 4 years of progressive financial planning & analysis work experience.
  • Relevant Finance or Accounting designation such as CA, CPA, CMA or CFA is highly preferred.
  • Experience working in the tech sector and specifically partnering with product management is beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with the ability to create financial models from scratch.
  • Friendly, clear, and professional communication style and confidence presenting FP&A findings to both finance and non-finance audiences.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience working for a global company and/or public company.
  • Experience using an ERP such as Oracle, SAP, or JD Edwards.
  • Experience working in the fast-paced technology sector is an asset.
  • Multi-lingual - this company has operations in over a dozen countries, so there are quite a few languages that would be beneficial
