Situated in a vibrant community, this role offers a chance to work in a supportive environment that values the contributions of its staff. As a vital member of a multidisciplinary team, you will be involved in providing care in a Long Term Care unit, as well as other departments within the organization. Your role will focus on delivering essential client care services under the guidance of a licensed healthcare professional.
Position Overview:
In the capacity of a Health Care Aide (HCA), your primary responsibilities will include offering personal support, assisting with daily living activities, and delivering comfort and care services to individuals requiring temporary or ongoing assistance. You will collaborate closely with patients, their families, and caregivers across various settings, including home, community, and healthcare facilities. Your contribution will be crucial in ensuring safe, high-quality, patient-centered care that aligns with the core values and vision of Alberta Health Services.
Essential Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, you must hold active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. A confirmation letter as proof of enrollment from the Directory is required. Nursing students currently enrolled in an accredited Alberta nursing program who have completed at least 100 hours of practicum may also be considered, provided they are in their first year of a practical nursing program or second year of a baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program. Proof of qualification must be attested.
