Your Opportunity:
At Alberta Health Services, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care services to our clients in their homes, communities, or healthcare facilities.
About the Role:
You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide personal assistance, including supporting activities of daily living and support services to patients who require short-term assistance or ongoing support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting patients with hygiene, nutrition, mobility, recreation, and safety needs
- Supporting patients with organized activities or programs
- Observing and reporting on patients' mood, health, and wellbeing
- Maintaining a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Completion of a Health Care Aide Certificate within 18 months of hire and active directory status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
