Your contributions will be essential in providing care to individuals in a Long Term Care unit, as well as in various other departments.

Position Overview:

In the capacity of a Health Care Aide (HCA), your primary responsibility will be to deliver personal support and assistance with daily living activities. You will ensure comfort and provide essential services to patients who may require either temporary or ongoing support. Collaboration with patients, families, and caregivers is crucial as you navigate the continuum of care in various settings, including home and health care facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide compassionate personal assistance to clients.
  2. Support activities of daily living, ensuring safety and comfort.
  3. Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver quality care.
  4. Engage with families and caregivers to enhance the care experience.

Required Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have active status on the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory. A confirmation letter from the Directory is required as proof of enrollment. Nursing students currently enrolled in an approved Alberta nursing program who have completed a minimum of 100 hours of practicum may also be eligible, provided they are in their first year of practical nursing or second year of a baccalaureate nursing or psychiatric nursing program.
