Your Role
The Sales Account Executive for Inside Sales will play a crucial role in nurturing and expanding relationships with current clients while actively seeking new business prospects. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of logistics and supply chain management, as well as a keen awareness of our clients' specific requirements and the freight forwarding sector. Exceptional communication abilities, a strong client-centric approach, and a proven sales history are vital for success in this role.
Your Contributions Will Include:
- Evaluating sales leads from diverse sources, including online inquiries, trade exhibitions, webinars, and industry associations.
- Initiating contact with clients to discuss their requirements, present our services, provide quotes, and foster ongoing relationships to enhance business growth.
- Following up on sales leads and, where appropriate, creating and assigning actionable next steps within our CRM system.
- Acquiring new clients through telephone outreach, online communications, and participation in webinars and virtual exhibitions.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to all accounts and ensuring timely responses to client inquiries.
- Collaborating closely with Operations to secure new business opportunities.
- Consistently following up on transportation proposals with potential clients.
- Assisting in exploring new markets, trade lanes, sales campaigns, or vertical opportunities.
- Communicating with international offices to meet global and client-specific requirements.
- Analyzing the development of existing client portfolios and managing shipping cuts (lost clients).
- Independently handling customer complaints and incidents.
- Maintaining all sales-related activities and KPIs (contact reports, opportunities) within the designated portfolio.
- Conducting analysis of customer-related data and implementing appropriate follow-up actions to ensure high data quality.
- Participating in all sales training sessions organized by Rhenus A&O.
- Providing a high level of internal customer support.
- Identifying and maximizing all opportunities for account development through a structured sales approach.
- Ensuring a seamless transition of accounts from sales to account management.
- Building enduring relationships with existing clients to retain and expand the current business while providing excellent internal customer care.
- Consistently increasing gross profit and achieving established targets.
- Meeting sales productivity and revenue goals.
- Supporting the Freehand lead program for the US and Canada.
- Aligning and communicating with the local commercial team regarding the internal quotation tool.
- Providing first-level support and training on the internal quotation tool.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
- 2-3 years of inside sales experience in logistics, supply chain, distribution, or a related area.
- Advanced proficiency with CRM systems.
- Experience with Sugar CRM or Microsoft Dynamics is considered a strong advantage.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams).
- Technologically adept with a quick ability to learn and adapt to new software systems.
- Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
- Effective time management and deadline adherence skills.
- Strong analytical capabilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Results-oriented mindset with high motivation and initiative.
- Excellent networking and interpersonal skills, maintaining close connections with key stakeholders.
- In-depth knowledge of the sales process, Rhenus strategy, and all Rhenus services.
- Advanced proficiency in English, with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Key Role Figures
- This position offers a permanent full-time contract with a standard 40-hour work week.
- Parking facilities are available.
