We are seeking a Mechanical Pipefitter to join the Concentrator Maintenance division at the Iron Ore Company of Canada facility in Labrador City, NL. The Pipefitter will be responsible for ensuring that maintenance tasks are conducted safely and efficiently on fixed plant and related assets. The work schedule is variable.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:
Actively engaging in company safety protocols and initiatives Maintaining a strong safety record through a proactive safety approach Contributing innovative ideas and solutions to enhance workplace safety Diagnosing and repairing various types of rotating and conveying machinery Utilizing power and hand tools, performing diverse rigging tasks, often at heights requiring safety equipment such as harnesses and lanyardsPlease note: Fly-in-fly-out arrangements are not offered. Relocation assistance to the Labrador West area is available.
Qualifications
A strong commitment to safety for yourself and your colleagues; High school diploma or equivalent GED; Valid Class 5 driver's license; Possession of an Inter-provincial Steamfitter/Pipefitter certificate. Apprentices who have completed 3rd/4th block apprenticeship will be considered. Experience in an industrial setting; prior mining maintenance experience is advantageous Self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented Highly adaptable approach to work Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively Experience with mobile rock crushers is beneficial (for one of the departments)Benefits
