Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health & Addictions Support Worker to join our Residential Group Homes team in Sechelt, BC. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges and substance use disorders.
Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive support services to clients experiencing mental health and/or substance use issues.
- Monitor client well-being, document observations, and facilitate communication with healthcare professionals and community resources.
- Collaborate in the development of individualized care plans and assist clients in building essential life skills and healthy coping mechanisms.
- Participate actively in team meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing training opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients and colleagues while performing administrative tasks as required.
To excel in this role, you will possess:
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals facing mental health and/or substance use challenges.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
