About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Black Sparrow Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in the framing and installation of wood structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed estimates of labour and material costs for framing and installation projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and specifications
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, and other materials to ensure precise fit and finish
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of other tradespeople to ensure timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with project managers to ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in framing and installation
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour in a construction setting
