About the Role
Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Continuing Education team as an Instructor for Internationally Educated Nurses (IENs). In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding IENs through their clinical training journey, ensuring they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their nursing careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert instruction, coaching, and supervision to IENs within diverse clinical settings.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of IEN progress, offering constructive feedback during preceptor-led clinical sessions.
- Collaborate effectively with preceptors to ensure a comprehensive and supportive learning environment for IENs.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) with active practicing status.
- Minimum two years of recent and relevant nursing/teaching experience.
- Exceptional communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to apply adult education principles and theories in a practical setting.
- Strong small group facilitation skills, including the ability to lead, model, and teach interactive learning experiences.
- Resourcefulness in arranging, maintaining, and evaluating educational resources.
- Proficiency in utilizing technology, including the internet, email, MS Office Suite, and adaptability to new technologies.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
