About the Team
We're seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head of Product to drive product strategy and execution for a diverse portfolio of apps and services we build to support business needs in different niches. This role will partner cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, marketing, design, research, communications, and customer service.
The ideal candidate will have a consistent track record of bringing a visionary approach to building digital products, developing detailed long-term product strategies, and robust execution of the strategy with operational excellence. The candidate should also have a strong background in handling P&L, building product teams, partner negotiations, and launching new digital products from scratch.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and implement a long-term strategy for building the company product portfolio, from performing initial discovery to developing requirements and driving product roadmaps.
- Define and track key product metrics, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
- Hire and mentor new members of the product team and implement best product practices and culture within the company.
- Communicate vision, strategy, and decisions effectively to company owners and cross-functional contributors, building alignment and driving shared goals across all members of the team.
- Define bold goals to deliver against every quarter and meticulously measure against the goals to deliver significant impact to the company on a yearly scale.
- Create and lead marketing strategies for new products through various channels and be responsible for customer acquisition strategy.
- Perform market analysis and validate new product ideas in short timeframes.
- Discover and address new business opportunities, identify and resolve customer difficulties via qualitative and quantitative data-driven approaches to validate and identify the customer problem.
- Constantly challenge the status quo, demonstrating industry trends, market dynamics, and voice of the customer to improve product portfolio (including expansion to new financial products such as corporate taxes, scuba diving software, and leisure apps) and CX journey.
- Negotiate and handle ongoing third-party partner relationships.
- Exhibit strong bias for action and hold a high bar for quality, continuously optimizing execution and processes through experimentation.
- Anticipate risks, set mitigation strategies, and proactively unblock the roadmap.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience in product management, with at least 8 years leading cross-functional teams to deliver new product launches and at least 5 years managing product managers.
- Proven consistent track record of developing, launching, and scaling new products and in mobile apps, web services, and platforms.
- Professional approach to finding product market fit and further growing the product using both product-lead and advanced marketing frameworks.
- Ability to test product hypothesis fast and effectively using MVP approach and mockups.
- Validated ability to implement experiments with speed and agility, and establish playbooks to drive operational excellence.
- Experience in implementation of Machine Learning models for improving niche products.
- Strong background of leading teams of product managers and people management skills.
- Experiences in small business financial services.
- Strong data analysis skills and experience with customer research techniques.
- MBA degree or experience owning and optimizing P&L of programs.
- Proficiency in setting product marketing strategy and deep understanding of martech industry (programmatic, ASO, and CRM).
- Expertise in scuba diving software for mixed gas diving, ideally possess a scuba diving certification for mixed-gas diving.
