About the Role
Ville de Laval is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Coordinator to join our team. As an Environmental Coordinator, you will play a key role in planning, implementing, and coordinating environmental projects and activities within the Milieu Naturel, Sensibilisation et Développement de Projets division.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and implement environmental projects and activities, including those related to climate change adaptation, green spaces, and heat island mitigation.
- Work closely with the Environmental Team to develop and implement strategies for environmental sustainability and community engagement.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, including community groups, partners, and city departments, to achieve project goals and objectives.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community groups, partners, and stakeholders to promote environmental awareness and education.
- Conduct research and analysis to inform environmental project development and implementation.
- Prepare and present reports, proposals, and other written materials to stakeholders and decision-makers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as environmental science, sustainability, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in a related field, including project management, environmental planning, and community engagement.
- Strong knowledge of environmental principles, policies, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range: $72,318.18 to $95,126.57 per year.
- Temporary contract until December 26, 2025.
