Program Supervisor

The YMCA of Northern Alberta is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our program delivery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our programs, ensuring high-quality delivery, and providing exceptional customer service to our participants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee program delivery, ensuring smooth operations, scheduling, financial management, staffing, and curriculum.
  • Maintain effective communication with the team, providing recommendations for hiring, conducting performance reviews, coaching, and disciplinary actions as needed.
  • Engage in community partnerships, participating in meetings, facilitating advisor groups, and building relationships with stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Support the implementation of strategic and work plans by actively participating in work groups and collaborating with the director to ensure smooth implementation.
  • Ensure adherence to cash handling procedures and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Work closely with participants on a one-on-one basis to ensure program success.
  • Supervise a team of three or more members, assigning and scheduling work, and completing administrative tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Occasional travel to Grande Prairie, Wood Buffalo, and Red Deer may be required.
Requirements:
  • University degree in Recreation Management, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Ecology, or Sociology.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Mental Health, Non-Profit Organizations, or Human Services.
  • Specialized knowledge in Non-Profit Organizations, Housing field, Children and Youth families.
  • Standard First Aid & CPR-C certification.
  • Able to obtain a Police Information Check and Vulnerable sector and Child Intervention/Enhanced Security check.
