About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Animation Technical Director to join our team on the Far Cry project. As a key member of our animation team, you will be responsible for supporting the design and implementation of the technical animation pipeline, production workflow, and technical requirements for delivery and needs of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Pipeline Development: Collaborate with the Technical Director to define the technical needs of the project, develop and select internal and external tools to enhance and facilitate the work of the animation team, and ensure the proper functioning of the tools throughout the process.
- Technical Validation and Support: Ensure the technical validation of the data produced by the animation team, resolve first-line technical issues to support the team, and inform the Technical Director of any current and/or future technical issues and recommend solutions.
- Optimization and Debugging: Participate in the optimization and debugging of the animation pipeline to fix issues raised in your field of expertise.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate regularly with the Technical Director to ensure that the project is on track and that any technical issues are addressed promptly.
- Leadership and Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior team members, and contribute to the development of the animation team's technical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Experience: Around 5 years of animation, rigging, or programming experience (or related experience) + 3 years of leadership.
- Education: A degree in 3D Animation, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (or related training).
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, mentorship, time management, organizational, and presentation skills. A highly innovative, collaborative, attentive, and solution-oriented spirit. Critical thinking, curiosity, resourcefulness, and plenty of flexibility. Familiarity with bug tracking software (e.g. Jira) and version management systems (e.g. Perforce).
