Security Officer

Paladin Security is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their assets.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct proactive and reactive security patrols to identify and mitigate potential security risks
- Respond to incidents and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- Write detailed reports of incidents and security activities
- Investigate routine incidents and provide recommendations for improvement
- De-escalate situations involving conflict, violence, or other security threats
- Ensure that all areas of the facility are secure and accessible only to authorized personnel
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to alarms
- Provide patient watches and ensure the safety and well-being of clients
- Intervene in medical emergencies and provide first aid as needed
- Liaise with emergency responders, clients, and management to ensure a smooth and efficient response to security incidents
- 1 year of experience in security, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License
- Valid First Aid and CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism
- Candidates with experience working in healthcare and mental health will be given priority
- Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and stand for long periods of time
