About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Sales Professional to join our team as a Contractor Account Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining business plans, managing assigned key accounts, and maximizing account potential growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute annual sales/business plans for assigned accounts
- Manage all assigned accounts and serve as the primary contact for all activities
- Identify and target sales opportunities within your assigned geographical area
- Work closely with Partners, Manufacturers, and Gerrie staff to grow sales and improve market share
- Develop and execute proposals to customers, seeking feedback to ensure successful outcomes
- Assume a key position in the bid team, developing strategy and providing prompt, clear, and concise quotations
- Follow up on opportunities, quotes, and proposals to customers, actively seeking feedback
- Submit call reports and update CRM
- Participate in sales meetings, annual planning meetings, and other relevant events
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Post-secondary education from a technical program (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical discipline)
- 5+ years of experience in Electrical Sales
- A proven track record of sales success, preferably in the Electrical Wholesale industry
- Strategic thinking, strong presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Strong technical knowledge and a solid understanding of the Industrial/OEM markets
- Self-motivation, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
