Investment Structure Management Role

At Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Investment Structure Management team as a Director of Investments and Asset Management.

This dynamic role provides a unique opportunity to work with a global and dynamic investment organization, making a significant impact on the operational deal structuring and end-to-end management of the investment life cycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the pre-close/structuring and ongoing maintenance of new investments, exits, and restructurings, including coordinating the establishment of new legal entities and addressing legal and governance requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the pre-close/structuring and ongoing maintenance of new investments, exits, and restructurings
  • Coordinating the establishment of new legal entities and addressing legal and governance requirements
  • Tracking deal timelines, developing a detailed plan, and maintaining meeting minutes and project-managing completion of pre-close activities
  • Providing ongoing support to maintain and manage CPP Investments structures post-closing
  • Overseeing and managing legal entity workstreams relating to CPP Investments' investment structures
  • Managing ongoing operational activities of wholly owned CPP Investments entities to ensure compliance with local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Contributing to materials related to legal entity compliance reporting to senior management

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of related work experience, a continuous learning mindset, and a desire to learn about CPP Investments' business and recommend innovative solutions to business problems.

A professional designation such as CFA, CPA, or CBV is considered an asset, as is mergers and acquisitions operational experience and proficiency in tools like Mendix and Tableau.
