Job Summary

CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll processing for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce payroll for installation projects (CCQ) in Canada and the United States on a weekly basis (Floride PCM, Californie ADF steel and ADF Structural);
  • Treat various payroll data in accordance with applicable labor laws in different states and provinces;
  • Ensure the accuracy of data provided in relation to the activity cycle;
  • Ensure the integrity of employee data in systems (ADP);
  • Provide required customer service to employees;
  • Produce certified payroll reports for American projects;
  • Enter and correct various payroll data from job sites in required systems;
  • Follow and enter payroll data such as:
    • Attendance;
    • Overtime (hourly employees);
    • Annual leave – hours and pay;
    • Social leave (maternity, paternity, death of a loved one, etc.);
    • Per diem and allowances.
  • Produce various reports related to the activity cycle such as employment insurance benefits, maternity benefits, parental employment insurance benefits, and child support payments;
  • Classify all relevant documents in employee files;
  • Treat and issue data and forms in accordance with applicable labor laws (e.g. US: W-2 and 1095 for employees in accordance with federal healthcare law);
  • Replace colleagues from the Canadian and American payroll teams to ensure business continuity;
  • DEC in accounting, administration, or human resources, or other relevant training;
  • Membership in the Canadian Payroll Association (ACP) is an asset.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite: intermediate Excel, ADP payroll software is an asset;
  • Knowledge of CCQ payroll and labor laws in different states;
  • Attention to detail and confidentiality;
  • Time management and tight deadlines, good stress management;
  • Autonomy;
  • Good communication skills in French and English, verbal and written;
  • Collaboration;
  • Analytical and judgment skills.
