We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team in the Operating Room department at GR Baker Memorial Hospital. As a Perioperative Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our perioperative nursing team.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and nursing practice activities within the framework of quality management.
- Collaborate with the perioperative team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient operating room operations.
- Participate in the development and implementation of perioperative nursing policies and procedures.
- Provide education and training to nursing staff on perioperative nursing practices and procedures.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in the perioperative department.
- Current registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Demonstrated clinical competence in surgical principles and procedures.
- Ability to physically perform the duties of the job.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to work under stress and deal with stressful situations.
- Ability to recognize and intervene appropriately in an emergency situation.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
