Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator

The Regional District of Fraser-Fort George is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health and Safety Coordinator to join our Human Resources team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement the Regional District's Occupational Health and Safety Program
  • Conduct regular evaluations and revisions of the program, policies, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Provide training and support to employees on health and safety initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Travel within the Regional District to conduct site visits and meetings

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset
