Catering Logistics Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Catering Logistics Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth execution of our catering events. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of logistics, from coordinating deliveries to assisting with event setup and breakdown.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Expeditor to confirm delivery details for catering orders.
  • Transport and deliver catering food, beverages, and essential supplies to event locations promptly and efficiently.
  • Utilize your knowledge of local roads and traffic patterns to ensure timely deliveries via foot or vehicle.
  • Assist with the packing and organization of catering equipment and supplies for upcoming events.
  • Contribute to the inventory management of catering equipment and storage facilities.
  • Provide support in setting up event spaces, including chairs, tables, food stations, buffet lines, and other necessary equipment as directed by the Front of House Manager or Chef.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Valid G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Prior catering experience is preferred but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally with clients and vendors.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 20kg with ease.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work event-based hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Food Handler's and Smart Serve certifications are an asset.
  • Comfortable standing or driving for extended periods.
