Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor residents' health status, developing and implementing individualized care plans to meet their unique needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate resident care, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Provide education and support to residents and their families on health-related topics, promoting independence and self-care.
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that enhance resident care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience.
- Current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in nursing, preferably in long-term care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
