About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our care team at Maitland Manor in Goderich, Ontario. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional resident care while following established protocols and physician orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality care to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, symptoms, and conditions, and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Organize and direct care activities, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Assist in the management of nursing and personal care staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Train and develop new staff members, referring concerns to the Director of Care.

Requirements:

  • Current certificate of competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
  • A passion for caring for seniors and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
  • Registration/eligibility for registration with the Registered Practical Nurses Association of Ontario.
  • Previous experience in long-term care is an asset, with comprehensive knowledge of duties.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and comprehension skills.
