Housekeeping Leader

At The Wickaninnish Inn, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Leader to join our team. As a key member of our Senior Management Team, you will be responsible for the overall operation of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that our high standards of service are consistently met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead by example and foster a culture of excellence within the Housekeeping Department.
  • Develop and implement effective systems and processes to drive efficiency, team culture, and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage the operations of the Housekeeping Department, including budgeting, scheduling, and staff development.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Source and purchase Housekeeping supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Participate in the planning and coordination of renovations, upgrades, and deep cleaning of the Inn.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of management or leadership experience in the service industry or 4 years of experience in a Housekeeping department.
  • Excellent guest service skills, human resources skills, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of relevant platforms, including Maestro PMS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed and maintain flexibility in scheduling.
  • WHMIS knowledge and/or certification.
