Job Summary

TerraSource Global is seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our customers, ensuring their equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Support: Provide technical assistance and guidance to customers on the installation, operation, and maintenance of our equipment.
  • Equipment Evaluation: Conduct thorough evaluations of equipment to identify areas for improvement and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.
  • Service Visits: Perform routine service visits to ensure equipment is functioning properly and make any necessary repairs.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Generate professional reports and documentation to track service visits, equipment performance, and customer interactions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales representatives, engineers, and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Time Management: Effectively manage time and resources to minimize overtime and expenses while maximizing service revenue.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school in a technical field, or a minimum of 5 years of related heavy industrial service experience and/or training.
  • Language Skills: English writing and verbal skills are required, with French being a plus.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering drawings. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle and feel, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds may be required.
Travel and Work Schedule

Employee must be able to travel 60% of the time, with some international travel required. Work schedule may be adjusted to allow weekdays off when weekends are worked.
