Position Overview

We are looking for a proficient Master Data Lead with a focus on SAP Materials Management (MM) to contribute to our operations. This long-term contract role demands a professional with a solid foundation in data governance, asset management, and inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

SAP MM Data Governance:
  1. Oversee the creation and maintenance of the Master Equipment List (MEL) and asset database, ensuring accurate asset verification and documentation.
  2. Design and implement functional locations (FLOC) and Bills of Materials (BOM) for various equipment.
  3. Evaluate and suggest new spare parts based on vendor specifications and Spare Parts Interchangeability Records (SPIR).
  4. Establish and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategies, including maintenance tasks and task groups, integrating FMEA insights.
  5. Coordinate PM spare parts with task operations and prepare comprehensive work packages for work orders.
Materials Management Expertise:
  1. Facilitate the creation of materials in SAP MM through transaction codes, ensuring data accuracy, standardization, and deduplication.
  2. Classify and catalog materials in accordance with MESC and UNSPSC standards.
  3. Organize materials based on the noun and modifier classification system, ensuring proper attributes are assigned.
  4. Develop and standardize templates for class and characteristic master data.
  5. Classify materials into categories such as OEM, general, and consumable spares.
  6. Review SPIR/SPDF documentation to identify operational spares for new initiatives.
  7. Conduct criticality assessments and optimization for MRO spare parts.

Qualifications & Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  2. At least 6 years of experience in SAP PM and MM data management.
  3. Demonstrated expertise in managing Master Equipment Lists and functional locations.
  4. In-depth knowledge of BOM creation, PM strategies, and maintenance item oversight.
  5. Experience with material coding, cataloging, and classification standards (MESC, UNSPSC).
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  8. Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Experience in the oil and gas sector or similar industries.
  2. Familiarity with FMEA methodologies and their applications.
  3. Previous participation in large-scale asset verification and data standardization efforts.
