About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Technical Advisor I to join our Cloud Operations team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of AWS services, working alongside client teams to migrate workloads to AWS, and assisting in the deployment, operations, and maintenance of Containers infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes on-prem and in AWS Cloud.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage AWS services and work with client teams to migrate workloads to AWS
  • Deploy, operate, and maintain Containers infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes on-prem and in AWS Cloud
  • Assist in troubleshooting and remediation, and proactive maintenance of different platform components
  • Support senior members of the team with various tasks, including operations, onboarding, and projects
  • Follow up on incidents and requests using service management tools and change control procedures
  • Work on Security and Monitoring products and tools related to AWS Cloud and OpenShift Container Platform
  • Contribute to the evolution and automation of the platform
Requirements
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology
  • Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter Term (January to April)
  • Must be returning to school in Summer or Fall following the internship
  • Past internship experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and/or French preferred)
  • Ability and desire to learn and adapt quickly to a changing environment
  • Knowledge of networks, platforms, products, and tools, end-user technical domain of expertise, supporting end-user services, products, and solutions, ITIL methodologies, SRE (site reliability engineering), etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS
  • Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift is considered an asset
  • Experience in IT incident response, end-user support, problem management, and/or customer service support is considered an asset
