About the Role

At Intact Financial Corporation, we're leading an insurance transformation to better protect people, businesses, and society. We're seeking a talented individual to join our Cloud Operations team as an IT Technical Advisor I.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a variety of AWS services and work alongside client teams migrating workloads to AWS.
  • Deployment, Operations, and Maintenance of Containers infrastructure based on Red Hat OpenShift/Kubernetes on-prem and in AWS Cloud.
  • Assist in troubleshooting/remediation, and pro-active maintenance of different platform components.
  • Assist Senior members of the team with a variety of tasks (operations, onboarding, projects, etc.) as needed.
  • Follow up on incidents and requests using service management tool along with change control procedures.
  • Work on Security and Monitoring products and tools related to AWS Cloud and Openshift Container Platform.
  • Create documentation to ensure effective operations/support of the platform.
  • Contribute to the evolution and automation of the platform.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.
  • Available to work full-time, 35 hours per week, for the Winter Term.
  • Must be returning to school in Summer or Fall following your internship.
  • Past internship experience is considered an asset.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (English and/or French preferred).
  • Ability and desire to learn/adapt quickly to a changing environment.
  • Knowledge in networks, platforms, products, and tools, end-user technical domain of expertise, supporting end-user services, products, and solutions, ITL methodologies, SRE (site reliability engineering), etc.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS.
  • Experience with Kubernetes and/or OpenShift is considered an asset.
  • Experience in IT incident response, end-user support, problem management, and/or customer service support considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and can work quickly and maintain a methodical and calm approach while working under stressful situations.
