Key Responsibilities

Lead the strategic planning initiatives and oversee the operational planning for the designated clinical program in partnership with the Provincial Executive Director. Ensure that specific objectives are integrated into the clinical services activities, aligning them with individual performance metrics and quality management strategies. Supervise and facilitate ongoing program team planning, development, assessment, and quality enhancement efforts that promote team goal achievement, problem resolution, and collaboration. This includes organizing and leading meetings and training sessions, reviewing and updating team policies and procedures, developing new protocols, selecting and applying outcome measures, implementing innovative care approaches, and evaluating the impact of changes in patient-centered care practices. Additionally, prepare semi-annual and annual reports, and collaborate with other Clinical Services Managers and the Provincial Executive Director to enhance process efficiency and ensure effective, patient-focused practices. Oversee service area operations by establishing priorities, assessing staffing needs, and managing resources. Collaborate with key stakeholders to define a robust workforce strategy that guarantees the availability of qualified staff in accordance with operational demands and resource limitations. Design, propose, implement, and assess staffing patterns, rotations, and leave schedules to meet patient care requirements. Provide leadership to the team through collaborative coaching, guidance, and modeling of essential behaviors and strategies. Encourage open communication and offer support to resolve workplace challenges while fostering partnerships that ensure seamless client transitions.

Required Qualifications

A master's degree in nursing or a related health discipline from an accredited institution. At least seven years of relevant clinical experience, including two years in a managerial or leadership role within a clinical environment. Current registration with a relevant professional association.

Skills and Expertise

Comprehensive clinical knowledge of the specified patient demographics. Proficient in clinical and operational management. Innovative leadership capabilities. Proven ability to lead teams and foster collaboration. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Demonstrated experience with quality assurance processes, operational planning, and program development. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and public relations skills. Commitment to understanding legislative obligations and provincial commitments as outlined in foundational documents. A strong asset for consideration includes knowledge of the socio-economic, political, and historical contexts affecting Indigenous Peoples and familiarity with addressing Indigenous-specific anti-racism and cultural safety.
